The history of Riikonen Group
- 1982 Jouko and Sirpa Riikonen established Koneistus Riikonen Oy in Kihniö. Hall area 200 m2.
- 1988 a lease of a new 850 m2 hall was signed with the Kihniö municipality.
- 1990 the hall was acquired from the municipality, extending it by 1000 m2.
1991 first welding robot in Kihniö.
- 1992 the lease of another 1200 m2 hall was signed with the Kihniö municipality.
- 1997 a share of 57 % of Ferlamec Oy was bought.
- 1999 an extension of 600 m2 was added to the second Kihniö hall.
- 2000 a lease of a new hall of 1500 m2 in Tampere was signed.
- 2001 a new tandem welding robot in Tampere.
- 2002 the tandem welding robot transfer to Kihniö.
- 2003 Tampere focuses on installation and assembly.
- 2004 Asennus Saario Oy was bought.
- 2004 a new welding robot station was bought.
- 2005 a land deal with the town of Ylöjärvi resulting in the start of a new construction.
- 2006 a production plant of 3800 m2 was completed in Ylöjärvi.
- 2007 1 November marked the 25th anniversary of Koneistus Riikonen Oy established by Jouko and Sirpa Riikonen.
- 2008 the new company name Riikonen Group Oy was launched. A new company logo was published.
